This is my try on baking healthy cookies. Whole Wheat, Pistachio and dark chocolate chips forms the ideal healthy ingredient for this recipe.

What all you'll need?
- Whole Wheat Flour - 1/2 cup
- All Purpose Flour - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 -3/4 cup (depending on how sweet you want)
- Pistachios - 1/2 cup(chopped into bite size pieces)
- Semisweet/Dark Chocolate Chips - 5 tablespoons
- Butter - 1 stick/113 grams(at room temperature)
- Salt - A pinch
- Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cardamom Powder - 2 teaspoons (optional)
Let's cook it!!
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a different bowl, add butter and sugar. Mix them well using a hand mixer until its creamy in texture.
- Add the flour mixture little at a time to the creamed mixture and mix well. Add the rest of the ingredients to this and form a soft dough out of it.You can always add some milk to get the right consistency.
- Line the cookie tray with a parchment paper or wax sheet.
- Make small round balls of the dough and place them on the tray.
- Bake them in the preheated oven to about 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.
- Once its cool, store them in an airtight container.
