What all you'll need?
- Basmati Rice - 2 cups
- Green Peas(Fresh/Frozen) - 2 cups
- Onions - 2 Medium sized sliced lengthwise
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon - 1 stick
- Cloves - 3-4
- Cardamom - 3-4
- Black Pepper - 4-5
- Bay Leaves - 2
- Butter - 4 tablespoons
- Cilantro - A bunch chopped
- Mint - A bunch chopped
- Salt - As required
- Water - As required
- Cashew nuts - 2 tablespoons
- Sun dried Raisins - 2 tablespoons
Let's cook it!!
- Soak basmati rice in about 4 cups of water for about half an hour to one hour.
- After an hour, cook the rice in a rice cooker with whole spices, mint leaves, salt and a tablespoon of butter.
- Heat butter in a pan. Add onion and ginger garlic paste. Saute until the onions turns light brown in color. Add green peas to the mixture. Add a little bit of salt and wait for a couple of minutes until its well cooked.
- Add the cooked rice, cilantro, cashew nuts and raisins to the onion and green peas. Mix it well.
