Ease of Cooking:
Easy
What all you'll need?
- Milk Powder - 1.5 cups
- Paneer/Cottage Cheese - 1/2 cup(Made from 2 cups of milk)
- Clarified Butter/Ghee - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Water - 1 cup
Let's cook it!!
- Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoon of clarified butter/ghee. Once its warm, add milk powder and saute it for a couple of minutes. Make sure that the milk powder doesn't get overheated and stick to the bottom of the pan. Turn off the stove and transfer it to a bowl.
- Add some clarified butter/ghee to a plate, grease it well and keep it aside.
- Heat the same pan and add sugar and water. Let the sugar melt in water and form a semi-thick syrup.
- To this sugar syrup, add paneer/cottage cheese and the milk powder. Make sure you stir the contents in the pan constantly. This will save you from having the contents sticking to the bottom and sides of the pan. Add the remaining clarified butter/ghee to the pan, mix them well and keep stirring thoroughly.
- When the mixture sets in the form of a dough(it no more sticks to the pan), transfer it to a greased plate (Step 2) and spread it evenly.
- Once its cool, cut it into diamond or any shape of your choice.
